Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Fred Whitton Challenge is a charity cyclosportive event held annually in the English Lake District. It is held in memory of Fred Whitton, racing secretary of the Lakes Road Club, who died of cancer at the age of 50 in 1998.
Starting and finishing in Grasmere, the route is 180 kilometres (112 mi) long, with 3,500 metres (11,482 ft) elevation gain.
This will be the second event where I will be pushing myself to raise money for The Christie. I think it’s fair to say that the difficulty has increased somewhat from the Manchester 100 which was practically flat! Anything you can afford to give to this amazing life saving charity would be greatly appreciated.
